President's Message

I am honored to be your President,

thank you!

Let’s welcome and congratulate the

new board members, all of whom I look

forward to working with to serve this

wonderful guild.

Since becoming a guild member 4

years ago, I’ve seen us grow in

membership and opportunities. This is

an incredibly vibrant and active guild

with so many amazingly talented artists.

Bear with me as I begin to understand

and undertake my new job and to

prepare myself I reread our mission/

purpose: We are organized and

operated for educational and

charitable purposes to stimulate

interest in art in Williamson County,

Texas and beyond.

In support of this, we continue to offer

art classes to members and the public,

we’ve hosted a plein air event around

downtown, and we’ve sponsored

several charitable art shows for groups

like the NEST project, Veteran Artists,

and local African-American artists. We

regularly sponsor exhibits at the Palace

Theater, Truewood senior living center, local hospitals, and libraries; and we’ve

exhibited in conjunction with National

Crime Victims Rights Week and more.

It was an honor and fun adventure

serving as past Gallery Chair. Both

Framers and the Rock Street galleries

continue to offer wonderful

opportunities to all WCAG artists. This

brings awareness of your guild, of your

talents, and of art itself to new visitors

from Williamson County, Texas and all

around the US and other countries.

This is such an important mission!

I look forward to seeing what great

things this guild continues to do!
