Courtney Brewer

American- Texas based Artist- Austin, TX

Courtney’s artwork is marked by her distinct love of colors. As an abstract/mixed media artist Courtney has also studied interior design, and taken formal art classes at UMHB, studied anthropology at Baylor University, taught zumba dance , and art classes for youth. Courtney’s broad view on culture, heavily influences her artwork. As a native Texan, you can see the southern accent in her use of bold colors, exaggerated lines, and hasty brush strokes.

To me art is about communication, creating a new language that only the artist and viewer understand.

The message behind my art is the release of inhibition, and being awakened to the synchronicities of life, and unspoken language.
